Ofer Cohen

Ofer Cohen is the Founder & CEO of TerraCRG, the ‘Only Brooklyn.®’ commercial real estate firm. He founded the company in 2008 with the vision of catering solely to the most exciting and robust sub-markets in the U.S. Since its inception ten years ago, TerraCRG has been at the center of the transformation of Brooklyn, becoming a true market leader in the process. In the early days, Ofer and his team diligently worked through many transactions managed to proceed even as credit markets tightened early in the Great Recession of 2008-10, and remained a vital force through the recovery that began in 2011. His team — now 30 people strong and growing — has been marketing 500+ properties and consistently closing over 75 transactions per year.

Accordingly, Ofer Cohen is at the forefront of the Brooklyn commercial real estate industry. His keen focus and comprehensive knowledge of both the industry and region, coupled with his active community involvement, makes him a trusted adviser to property owners, developers and institutions looking to capitalize on the continued growth of this market. As a result, Ofer serves as a thought leader for all Brooklyn and real estate-related topics, regularly speaking at industry conferences and interviewed by the media.

Prior to founding TerraCRG, Ofer was a senior broker at Massey Knakal’s Brooklyn office, where he developed his passion and expertise for selling Brooklyn properties. Earlier, he was a partner at a boutique marketing agency that focused on helping foreign tech ventures launch their operations in the U.S. Prior to that, Ofer was involved with several tech startups, one of which was the first NYC-based internet firm acquired by MTV Networks. Ofer remains involved in various tech-startups as an adviser and angel investor.

Ofer’s focus on Brooklyn extends beyond business and into philanthropy and community service. He is a board member of the Brooklyn Chamber of Commerce and the co-chair of the Chamber’s Real Estate Committee. Additionally, he is on the board of directors of the Brooklyn Navy Yard, The Brooklyn Hospital Foundation and the Downtown Brooklyn Partnership. He also serves on the board of trustees of the Hannah Senesh Community Day School, the Board of Advisers of the Brooklyn Museum and actively supports several other Brooklyn non-profit organizations. Ofer served in the Israeli Defense Forces and holds a BS in Business, Management and Economic from the State University of New York. He lives in Clinton Hill, Brooklyn, and in his spare time enjoys spending times with his twin daughters, as well as yoga, cooking and fine wine.
