Jed Walentas

Jed Walentas oversees all aspects of acquisition, planning, development, construction, marketing and leasing at Two Trees Management, one of the City’s most active developers with over five million SF of residential and commercial properties under management. Under Jed’s leadership, Two Trees transformed DUMBO from a gritty, underutilized industrial district into a vibrant, creative community that has preserved and built upon the area’s historical fabric to become one of the City’s most desirable places to live and work. Two Trees developed several innovative mixed-use, mixed-income projects in Brooklyn and Manhattan including 325 Kent, 300 Ashland, 60 Water, Mercedes House, 110 Livingston Street, 125 Court and several conversions of former industrial spaces in DUMBO. Two Trees also built and operates the Wythe Hotel, is a 72-room boutique hotel in housed in a restored cooperage in the heart of Williamsburg.

The redevelopment of the Domino Sugar factory in Williamsburg will be Two Trees’ largest undertaking yet with over three million square feet of residential, commercial and retail space, including 700 units of integrated affordable housing and a six-acre public park. The landmarked Refinery building will be restored and transformed into office space for creative class companies. Jed is a committed supporter of the arts and education. He is a member of the Executive Board of Directors of REBNY, the Brooklyn Chamber of Commerce, the Downtown Brooklyn Partnership, the Urban Assembly and Creative Time.  He lives with his wife Kate Engelbrecht, a photographer, and their children, Theo and Filo, in Manhattan.
